The mission of ISHTP is to transform humanitarian ideas into learnable, experiential and practicable ways of living.
We seek to accomplish this mission by:
- Developing self-awareness and self-observation, enabling individuals to understand their thoughts, emotions, assumptions, impulses and behavioural patterns.
- Cultivating Confirmed Intellect by encouraging questioning, observation, reasoning, evidence-based understanding and freedom from automatic or unexamined beliefs.
- Strengthening self-regulation, so that individuals can move from impulsive reactions towards conscious and responsible choices.
- Promoting empathy, perspective-taking, compassion and complex communication in interpersonal and social relationships.
- Integrating psychological and psycho-spiritual understanding to support deeper awareness and personal transformation.
- Creating educational programmes and experiential practices for children, adolescents, adults, educators and communities.
- Encouraging creativity, intuition, imagination and arts expression as pathways for understanding oneself and others.
- Promoting human dignity, fraternity, non-violence, truthfulness, responsibility and humanitarian values in everyday life.
- Advancing humanitarian thought through research, publications, Global Fraternity, workshops, exhibitions, dialogue and collaborative initiatives.
- Creating individuals who do not merely understand humanitarian principles intellectually, but are able to translate awareness into action and values into practice.
